Product: Dayozi 1.0 for iPhone

Operator: Form Expert Ltd, company number 16324869

This policy explains how Dayozi handles information on your iPhone.

Dayozi is a free family routine app for parents and carers. You set up a timetable in Parent Mode. A child (about 5 to 17) may use Child Mode on the same iPhone. There is no Dayozi account, no email sign-up, and no Dayozi cloud. This version has no analytics, advertising, tracking, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Dayozi’s iOS bundle identifier is uk.co.formexpert.dayozi.

What the app stores, and why

A parent or carer types information into Parent Mode. It is stored on that iPhone so Dayozi can show the timetable, remember progress, optionally remind you, and optionally keep Parent Mode behind a PIN.

Dayozi does not use this information for advertising or tracking. It does not sell personal data. It does not ask for email, phone number, location, contacts, or photos.

  • Child name — to greet the child and tell children apart in Parent Mode.

  • Avatar — an emoji you choose. Dayozi does not use photographs of your child.

  • Activities and schedules — titles, times, icons, and optional reminder wording you type. You can set a weekly plan and a different plan for a specific date.

  • Rewards — which collection you chose, how often a collectible is awarded, and which items your child has found. Saved collectibles stay until you delete that child profile or the app’s local data is removed.

  • When items were found — so Parent Mode can show week, month, and year figures. Dated “when found” records from before the start of the current local calendar year are removed when Dayozi loads stored data. They are not removed at midnight on 1 January if the app has not been opened. That year-bound rule does not take saved collectibles away.

  • Goals — optional. You can save up to three. Only one can be Active at a time.

  • Completion and progress — when your child taps I’m Done, the app records that the activity was done that day, increases a running count, and may unlock a collectible. It does not keep a timestamped log of every tap. The running count stays until you delete the child profile or the app’s local data is removed. Dated “done on this day” records from before the current local calendar year are removed when Dayozi loads stored data. That does not reset the running count or remove collectibles.

  • Running Late — extra minutes, which activity, when, and whether it was requested in Child Mode or Parent Mode.

  • Local identifiers — created on the device so each child’s schedule stays separate. These are not advertising identifiers.

  • Parent Mode PIN (optional) — a 4-digit PIN to stop a child using the on-screen buttons from opening Parent Mode. You can skip it. The app stores a digest of the PIN in the iOS Keychain when that is available, otherwise in the same on-device store — not the PIN itself. The skip choice is stored in local app storage. This is a child-access gate on the device. It is not an account password and it does not protect against someone who can unlock the iPhone or read a backup.

Dayozi does not collect or store the child’s age. You choose visual style and collection yourself. If an older install stored an age number, this version drops it when it loads the data.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. They are local iOS notifications, scheduled on the iPhone after you enable them in Parent Mode and iOS grants permission. They are not emails, and Form Expert Ltd does not send them from a Dayozi server. The timetable still works if they are off. You can change permission later in iPhone Settings.

If they are on, the lock screen or Notification Centre may show:

  • the title “Dayozi” for activity-start and Running Late notices;

  • the title “Dayozi · Reminder” for reminders you created;

  • an activity name or reminder wording you typed;

  • a Running Late line with the extra minutes and the activity, without the child’s name (for example: “15 more minutes have been requested for homework.”).

Scheduled reminders cover today and the next seven local calendar days. They are updated when you change the timetable or when the app comes to the foreground.

Where it is stored, backups, and deletion

Family timetable data is stored in the app’s on-device store. The Parent PIN digest is stored in the iOS Keychain when Secure Store is available, otherwise in that same store.

Dayozi does not operate a cloud copy of your family data. Form Expert Ltd cannot look up or remotely erase a family’s timetable.

If iCloud Backup or another Apple backup is switched on, a copy of app data may be included. That backup is controlled by Apple and your Apple Account, not by a Dayozi server. Form Expert Ltd cannot see it. We have not tested every backup setting.

In the app

  • You can change or delete activities, reminders, and a child’s settings.

  • Delete child removes that child’s name, schedule, progress, rewards history, date changes, exceptions, and Running Late records from the app’s local store, and updates notifications. Other children you have added are not removed.

  • There is no button that wipes every child at once in this version.

  • Dated “done” and “when found” records from before the current local calendar year are removed when Dayozi loads stored data.

  • The running completion count and saved collectibles stay until you delete the child or the app’s local data is removed. Other information stays until you change or delete it, delete the child, or remove the app.

On the iPhone

  • Deleting the app usually removes that app’s data. An iCloud or computer backup might still hold a copy until you delete it there.

  • Notices already shown stay on the lock screen or in Notification Centre until you dismiss them.

Other services

Dayozi does not share your child’s timetable with advertisers or analytics companies.

Apple provides iOS, the App Store, local notifications, and optional device backup. If you use those services, Apple’s terms apply to them.

The app is built with on-device software (including Expo and React Native). This version does not use that software to upload your family data to a Dayozi server.

Children’s privacy

Dayozi is a family timetable, not a social network. There is no child account, no messaging between children, and no location use. A parent sets up the day; a child follows it on the same phone.

Notifications stay off until you allow them. Collectibles are for finishing activities you set, not for sharing more personal data. If you skip the Parent Mode PIN, anyone who can unlock the iPhone and open Dayozi can open Parent Mode.

Questions, requests, and complaints

You can already edit information in Parent Mode, delete a child profile, or delete the app (subject to how your iPhone and any backup work).

If you contact us, we will consider your request. We cannot retrieve a copy of your timetable from a Dayozi server, because that server does not exist. We may need you to use the in-app controls or delete the app on the device.

Changes

We may update this policy if the app or the law changes. The date at the top will change. We will post updates on the Form Expert Ltd App Policies page and, where we can, in the App Store listing.

The current iOS build does not include an in-app link to this policy.

A move to accounts, cloud, analytics, advertising, or paid subscriptions would need a new policy. Those features are not part of this version.

Who can use Dayozi

Dayozi is designed for parents and carers to set up a child’s routine. A child may use Child Mode on the same iPhone. A parent or carer is responsible for setting up and supervising use of the app in a way that is appropriate for the child and the family.

Using the app

You are responsible for the information, activities, schedules, reminders, goals and settings you enter into Dayozi.

Please use Dayozi lawfully and do not misuse the app, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it in a way that could damage the app or another person’s device or information.

Dayozi is a routine and rewards aid. It does not replace parental supervision, and it does not guarantee that a child will complete an activity or follow a schedule.

Reminders and notifications

Dayozi can schedule optional local notifications on your iPhone if you enable them and allow notification permission in iOS. Notifications may be delayed, suppressed, displayed differently, or not delivered because of device settings, Focus modes, operating-system behaviour, permissions, or other factors outside our control.

Do not rely on Dayozi notifications for emergencies, safety-critical tasks, medical needs, or anything that requires guaranteed delivery or immediate action. The timetable remains available in the app when notifications are turned off.

Parent Mode PIN and device access

You may choose to set a Parent Mode PIN or skip it. The PIN is a simple on-device access gate, not an account password or a substitute for securing your iPhone. Anyone who can unlock your device or access its data may be able to access Dayozi or information stored by it.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and deciding whether the optional PIN is suitable for your household.

Local storage and deleting information

Dayozi stores family routines and related information locally on your device and does not provide a Dayozi account or cloud service in this version.

You can edit or delete information in the app, delete a child profile, or remove the app. Deleting a child profile removes that child’s information from the app’s local store as described in the Privacy Policy. Information held in an Apple or computer backup, if any, may require separate action to remove.

Please read the Dayozi Privacy Policy on the Form Expert Ltd App Policies page for details about local storage, notifications, retention and backups.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Dayozi useful and working, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or future iOS version.

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue all or part of Dayozi where reasonably necessary, including for security, technical, operational or legal reasons. We will update these terms when a change makes that appropriate.

Intellectual property and permitted use

Dayozi and its branding, design and app materials are owned by or licensed to Form Expert Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial family use in accordance with these terms and any applicable App Store terms. These terms do not transfer ownership of the app or its intellectual property to you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the extent permitted by law, Form Expert Ltd is not responsible for loss arising from reliance on notifications that are delayed or not delivered, device or operating-system failures, loss of data from your device or backups, or use of Dayozi as a substitute for supervision or safety-critical arrangements.

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that cannot be excluded or limited by these terms. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Privacy and contact

Our handling of information is explained in the Dayozi Privacy Policy available on the Form Expert Ltd App Policies page.

For questions about Dayozi or these terms, contact contact@formexpert.co.uk or write to Form Expert Ltd, 19 Britius Road, Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire, OX18 1PX, United Kingdom.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, except that this does not remove any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of the country where you live.
